Wow! Babbling Brook Cottage
You’ve been amazing!

A fantastic base for two crazy dog ladies and 8 pointers!!!
The beaches are amazing for our dogs, as is your enclosed field.
Your welcome was warm, kind and very thoughtful, there’s nothing we would change as it’s been a staycation beyond all our expectations.
Thank you, we will be coming back!!

Everything was perfect!

Thank you so much for a lovely stay. Everything was perfect.
The cottage is gorgeous and we love the hot tub. Perfect for our pooch with the lovely walks and gorgeous surroundings – lovely and peaceful. New Quay is a lovely place to visit, lots of fun for our boy, boating and crabbing. Thank you so much. We hope to return.

2-5 October 2024 – Megan, Linda & Dennis + Barry (Labrador)
Really dog friendly, no worries about the dog on the furniture!

A lovely warm welcome with a welcome basket of goodies for the humans and the dog! Very well equipped kitchen, lovely ‘Everhot’ range cooker, little bits and pieces to make it a home from home.
Really dog friendly, no worries about the dog on the furniture!
Hosts were available for any questions which is brilliant.
We visited Cei Bach beach with the dog, superb beach at low tide!
Also walked in Longwood Community Woodland, nice and quiet. We were blessed with some lovely October sunshine which made it even more special!
The enclosed garden and field are a great addition. Les and Tigs have made this a super place to come for a break.
Thank you for everything.

Perfect getaway from the business of everyday life!

Very warm welcome from lovely hosts. We enjoyed a gorgeous coastal walk along Cei Bach beach with our doggie Kai as well as exploring the waterfall in Cwm Forest. All adventures were finished off by a well needed soak in the lovely hot tub! Ample space and everything you would need from a staycation. Impeccable attention to detail and fantastic finishing touches. Thank you for having us!

We were made to feel so welcome!

We have had such a wonderful stay at Babbling Brook.
We were made to feel so welcome from the start and are so grateful for the welcome gifts. Our two beagles loved the secure and spacious garden, and really enjoyed their walks in the fields just behind.
We can’t thank you both enough, this was much needed for us and we will definitely be booking again! We are also obsessed with the hot tub!!!!
Thank you so much! xxxx

Really beautiful cottage and setting.

Amazing hosts, very welcoming.
We made good use of the hot tub and our 3 dachshunds made good use of the garden!
We will 100% be rebooking! Many thanks.

17-21 September 2024 – Ruth & Chris + Wilbur & Tetley (German Shepherds)
All in all a lovely relaxing break with the hubby and dogs!

We’ve visited this cottage many times, but our first time with Les and Tigs.
Loved the new Aga! Wonderful stay and made to feel very welcome.
Enjoyed visiting our fave haunts at Penbryn and Aberaeron with it’s colourful cottages. Enjoyed visiting Cei Bach beach and woods for the first time too.
All in all a lovely relaxing break with the hubby and dogs!

14-17 September 2024 – Sian & Richard + Indy (Bernese Mountain Dog)
What a lovely place in the middle of the Welsh countryside.

My husband and I visited for a short break, our fist time with our seven month old Bernese, Indy. The welcome from Les and Tigs (and the dogs) made us feel at home – the gift hamper was a lovely touch.
Our pooch loved running around the field and patrolling the garden, standing watch while we enjoyed soaking in the hot tub. The cottage had everything we needed, and the fresh eggs made breakfasts even better.
We enjoyed wandering around Lampeter and the dog had friendly welcomes at Joio’s (cafe) and the Black Lion. We had a very rainy day out in Aberystwyth but our favourite was a day at Cei Bach beach and Aberaeron (honey ice cream a must). All in all, an excellent stay and first time holiday for Indy. Thanks very much!

7-14 September 2024 – Margaret + Barney (Westie)
The cottage is so tasteful and comfortable.

What a lovely restful break I have had with Barney (my dog).
Highlights – walking in the field, and the hot tub.
I found I need practice lighting the wood burner.
The cottage is so tasteful and comfortable – especially the bed as too often I have stayed in places with dubious quilts and pillows – but not here!
Thank you Les and Tigs for being in the background but available if needed. I will come back next year with my bionic new knee!! x

30 August – 2 September 2024 – Rebekah Mark, Sam & Lottie + Gil (Springer Spaniel)
You went above and beyond and we so appreciate it!

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. A fabulous opportunity to reconnect with family, away from the business of normal life! The hot tub was a smash hit!
The children really enjoyed paddle boarding in New Quay and the curry from Shapla Tandoori was excellent.
We were made to feel very welcome by Les & Tigs (and the dogs) and everything was beautifully clean and we had absolutely everything we needed – and more!
Thank you so much Les & Tigs – you went above and beyond and we so appreciate it!

27-30 August 2024 – Ellie & Scott + Opie (Old English Bulldog)
Thank-you for a lovely short break!

We loved that the cottage felt like a home away from home and had everything we needed and more! The secure garden, field and hot tub all felt like mega added bonuses! Our bulldog Opie loved all the freedom and was treating the garden as if it were his own by the last night – hourly permitter patrols ensued.
We are so thankful at how friendly and dog savvy Tig was also, although Opie is generally well-rounded, I felt as though i could’ve arrived with a behaviourally challenged dog and this would not of phased Tigs.
We particularly enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub at sunset, listening to the owls hoot, after a long day exploring.
Thank you for the hamper of goodies on arrival – it was a lovely touch and blew us away. We hope to return in the future!

24-26 August 2024 – Michelle, Stuart & Oren + Frankie (Chug) & Indie (Frenchie)
What a beautiful relaxing place.

Very pet friendly. Hosts were amazing and always available if we needed anything. Lovely and clean, very homely cottage with everything we needed.
My son said it was his favourite ever holiday accommodation!
Definitely recommend dolphin spotting in New Quay.
Thanks for a lovely weekend.

20-24 August 2024 – Sarah, Adam, Ollie & Ava + Bruno (Cavapoo)
Wow! What an amazing hidden gem
nestled in the South West Wales countryside.

The cottage is amazing with the most stunning views from the hot tub (which we made good use of!) and the most beautiful sunset if you walk to the top of the adjoining field. Tigs and Les are fabulous host, and have honestly thought of everything from ensuring the hot tub was ready to go on arrival, to the thoughtful hamper & dog treats, not to mention the beautiful personalised gift which was a lovely touch! The information pack was really useful and they were always on hard if we needed them, even had a lovely Reiki session at the end of our -Thank You!
The beds are super comfy, as are the sofas. We loved the cosiness in the evening, making the most of the lovely fire (weather was a bit on the chilly side for August!).
Finally, our 2 year old Cavapoo, Bruno, had the best time. It’s perfect for dogs here, especially having the secured yard and the bonus of the fields, there’s so much space.
We visited new Quay, highly recommend as well as the coastal walk at Llangrannog – stunning views of the coastline. We also visited Aberaeron harbour and Aberystwyth – also worth a visit. Hope to visit again soon!

13-20 August 2024 – Zoe & Nigel + Lizzie & Bear (Border Collies)
We have loved every moment of our stay here.

Thank you so much Tigs and Les for making our first visit gifts to Babbling Brook Cottage so special. The hamper and gifts on arrival made it so personal and thoughtful. We were made to feel very welcome. The cottage is wonderful and a fabulous place to recharge the batteries and take the time to enjoy being quiet. The dogs absolutely loved the paddock to run around in and we enjoyed having the security of a safe space for them. We have absolutely loved exploring a new corner of Wales that has shown us some hidden diamonds. We’ve had brilliant walks along the coast at New Quay and Cwmtydu Beach.
Thank you Tigs for the coaching with Bear – it is already making a huge difference! We have loved our stay here and look forward to coming back again soon. The thought of starry nights and the hot tub make it hard to resist.

10-13 August 2024 – Aisha, Lloyd & Ripley + Obi & Leia
Thank you for making us feel so at home.

We have had a lovely stay and Ripley has had the loveliest Birthday vacation.
The dogs loved the new smells and running free and the hot tub was loved by all. We loved meeting the chickens. They’re so lovely and have lush little personalities!
We loved going on a boat trip in New Quay which was also dog friendly!
We found a little hidden gem called Cwmtydu beach which was once used by pirate smugglers (also dog friendly).

3-10 August 2024 – Linda & Steve + Dennis (Doberman)
Would recommend to others!

The property was lovely with amazing outdoor space and fabulous views Exactly right for our big dog We like the outdoors and challenging walking, running and cycling and the region certainly gave us everything we needed in that respect.
Les and Tigs were perfect hosts, always available and quick to respond but not in your face. It was lovely to relax at the end of a busy day in the hot tub, whatever the weather, as it was in a covered area.
We enjoyed visiting Cors Caron (30 mins drive, free parking) – great for a flat walk /run or a bike ride along the old railway. Another highlight was the Hafod National Trust Estate (45 mins drive, free parking). We walked the Gentleman’s route with Dennis the Doberman – scenic and thankfully, free of wildlife for him to chase!
Best place to eat – Falcondale Hotel (15 mins drive) – not cheap, but amazing view from the conservatory and fabulous food and service. Also enjoyed Aberaeron harbour and beach.
Thanks Wales, it’s been fun xxx
